Le Stelle, an Italian restaurant in Schaarbeek,  has inaugurated an exhibition of paintings by the world-famous Flemish artist Pol Mara. His style is higly experimental in terms of painitng techniques and combining images from various medias such as tv and cinema.
And we meet Belgian photographer Bruno Stevens, known for dramatic images from crisis spots all over the world. He has been to Chechnya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, Gaza and most recently, Haiti.
Opened in September last year, Indigo Studios is a new space for performance artists of every kind - acrobats, musicians, dancers and more.

El Cubismo is an exhibition of 20th century avant-garde art. It's centres on the cubist art of Juan Gris and the second phase of the cubist movement. The free exhibition is on at the museum of Elsene. Beppe Grillo was a well-known actor and comedian on Italian National TV in the 80s. His television career was cut short after he started making satirical comments about the Italian government. That hasn't deterred him, and he has gone on to live theatre performances. This year he brings his stand-up act to Europe.
And Anita takes us to the Apero Photomatic. There you can enjoy drinks, projections of photographs, a DJ mixing and a collection of short films. It starts in the early evening and goes till late. It's on every Sunday until March at the Bar du Matin in Ukkel.

Jean Paul Knott has shown his collection in Belgium for the first time in the 10 years since his company was set up here. For the occasion, a special fashion show was organised, in which the models were not striding down a catwalk.
Le Saint-Aulaye patisserie in Elsene is bursting with mouthwatering cakes, delicious organic bread, and a fussy clientelle. But the real fuss there these days is 33-year-old patisserie chef and chocolatier Ryan Stevenson from Brisbane, Australia, whose praline won 'Best Praline in the World' at the World Chocolate Masters in Paris last October.
And Anita brings us to the Sarahcademy at the dance studio Tout Azimut in Molenbeek to learn more about pole dancing classes.

D-composition is an the name of an exhibition about mold, or fungus. Two brothers, Said and Samir spend their free time taking photos of the fungus that grows on old food in their fridge.
You would think that Brussels is too cold and rainy for a bike messenger service, but not for someone from Finland. Karl-Heinz is a bike fanatic and he started the Pedal Brussels messenger service here. If they can't deliver within half an hour, you get your money back. Their motto is: bikers do it better.
And Anita went to the Grand Casino for a spectacular fashion show of hand-made silk lingerie by local designer Luc Deshayes. The models wore matching shoes designed by Mademoiselle François and crafted in Italy.

Visual artist Honoré d'O launched a film at Passa Porta earlier this week. It's called Babel, and it's described as a poetic interpretation of the European quarter of Brussels. In this week's Feature report, we met the creative couple behind Marzi - a book of graphic vignettes about a girl who lives in a tower block in a nondescript Polish town in the 1980s. In the book, Marzena Sowa tells stories of her childhood which her partner, Sylvain Savoia, captures beautifully in humorous illustrations.
And we meet the very busy Sharon Light. She works at a law firm and at the International Jewish Centre. She's a freelance food columnist for Flanders Today and she also writes a blog on the vegetarian gems of Brussels.

Roberto Barr is a Brazilian artist who lives in Brussels. He first came here on the invitation of the Brazilian ambassador and a new exhibition of his art has just opened this week.
In this week's Feature report we travel to Tokyo. Mathias Hendrix, a Dutch political cartoonist who lives in Brussels was invited to Japan to take part in an exhibition where he exhibited some of his cartoons.
And we take a look at the first carrotmob event happened in Brussels this week. A group of shoppers descended on the GB Express mini-market near central station in a coordinated shopping trip. In return for the carrotmob's custom, the shopkeeper agrees to invest a percentage of the profits in energy-saving measures for the shop.

We meet Sergio Tiempo, the celebrated concert pianist of Venezuelan and Argentinian origins. He lives in Brussels and we went to talk to him about his life and his music.
And Anita takes us to a new club-restaurant in Brussels. The drink brand Martini recently opened an opulent club in a renovated Anglican church which had been abandonned since 1958. We meet Will Erens who spent two years on the interior design of the old church.

10 januari
We meet Brussels born Isabelle de Borchgrave. She developed her talents into other fields: as a designer creating textiles, ceramics and porcelain. She currently has an exibition of 29 paper costumes from the Medici family of Renaissance Italy.
We go to the first privately-held freestyle climbing gym in Brussels. It's co-owned by Isabelle Dorsimond, six time Belgian climbing champion and two times world champion.
And Anita meets Tom Achkaert. He is from Bruges and has been practising as an independant massage therapist for five years. He recently opened a holistic massage studio in Flagey, Jari Menari, a place where you are encouraged to breathe, stretch and relax.

This week, we bring you an extended version of our documentary on eastern Congo.It was made by the producer of Brussels International, Stefano Lapasini, who visited the troubled northeastern corner of Congo, Haut Uele, a few months ago. You can find out more about eastern Congo and the people affected by the on-going violence on the MSF website condition-critical.org.
